This family event takes place on Election Day. Families gather on the Great Lawn with their lawn chairs and picnic blankets to watch an outdoor movie on the big screen. Adults and children enjoy dinner from the gourmet food trucks. In addition to the glow sticks and movie viewing snacks for the children, some warm apple cider and fresh cinnamon donuts make for a cozy night!

This family event is held on a Saturday each December to kick off the holiday season. Enjoy a ride on the trackless train, visit the petting zoo, decorate a holiday ornament, dance at the children's music performance, eat at the breakfast cafe, and participate in the holiday raffle baskets. Volunteers are needed to organize and run the various activities during the party.

This event is held during the school day in February/March. A special visitor (grandparent, family member, parent, etc.) visits their child at school and they enjoy a special snack together before shopping at the Book Fair. Volunteers are needed to run the Book Fair.

Other Volunteer Opportunities
Class Parent
At RPNS, we value the involvement of our parents in many ways. Two parents are needed per class.
Class Parent Responsibilities include:
• Act as a liaison between teachers and parents.
• Organize a play date for the class in the late summer or the first days of school.
• Email parents to support class and school events when needed.
• Put together a collection of funds donated by parents in your child’s class that will support a holiday and end-of-the-year gift for the classroom teachers.
